With over ten years of experience as a film editor, I specialise in documentaries. I was part of the editing team for the award-winning comedy documentary "Much Ado About Dying," which won Best Director at IDFA 2022. Additionally, I had the privilege of editing the upcoming feature "Mother Vera" (supported by the Sundance Institute and pitched at Hot Docs Forum 2021), which won the Creativity Media First Look Award at Locarno Festival in 2023.
In 2023, I directed my first short documentary, "The Backstreet," an exploration of four decades of queer history as lived by the members of the iconic club of the same name.

2023-2024: Produced, directed, and edited "The Backstreet", a 29-minute documentary exploring the iconic London gay club's closure after 37 years. Supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, the film playfully challenges viewers to reconsider what is conventionally recorded as part of history.
2022-2023: Edited "Mother Vera," a feature-length documentary set in a hidden Orthodox monastery in Belarus. The film delves into the inner world of an unorthodox young nun and her connection with the community that saved her life. Awarded The Creativity Media First Look Award at Locarno 2023.
2021: Contributed as an additional editor to "Much Ado about Dying", a feature-length documentary that won the IDFA Best Director award. The film follows filmmaker Simon Chambers as he interrupts a shoot in India to care for his dying uncle, leading to an unexpected and transformative journey.
2021-2022: Produced and edited the podcast series "Stories of Regret". As a National Lottery Awards for All grant recipient, the project was developed in collaboration with the English school ELLAT to introduce newly arrived migrants to podcast making. The project resulted in 10 episodes on the theme of regret, addressing topics such as modern slavery, homophobia, motherhood, missed opportunities, and acceptance in a deeply human manner.
2020: Edited two episodes of the series “History of Iranian Cinema” produced by Or Media and broadcasted on Iran International. The episodes focused on the changes in Iranian cinema in the years just after the revolution and highlighted ten favorite Iranian films selected by critics and academics. The series, produced by David Thomson and Allie Wharf (who worked on Newsnight), provides an insightful exploration of this period in Iranian cinema.
2017-2019: Worked as a short form editor for Manoto+, contributing to their dynamic content creation. Edited over 100 VTs (short videos) for their magazine, covering a wide range of cultural events in London. Additionally, created engaging motion graphics for their video wall, enhancing the visual appeal and storytelling of the content.
2016: Edited the festival’s favorite short documentary, “The Watchmaker” (featured at SXSW, Hot Docs, and DokLeipzig), which garnered awards and is available on various online platforms.
